exciting!

Whew! What a week this has been.

There are some BIG and exciting things coming up for us. I can’t tell you about them just yet, except to say there’s a road trip next week. And the reservations are confirmed.

If the bags aren’t packed yet, at least there’s a list of stuff to pack laying on my desk. Kai Li has her favorite toys picked out to pack, too. She’ll be coming along since our house/baby sitter didn’t pan out.

If you’ve followed along with my posts, both here and on the Sparrow’s Home Blog from 2005 until January 2012, you’ll know that we’ve been applying to churches that wanted a new pastor for awhile now. There have been applications sent out, border to border and coast to coast. There have been a few opportunities offered, but each time God said, “No. Not here. Not now. Not yet.” The most recent apps. went to the mid-eastern states – Indiana and Illinois, to the deep south – Arkansas, and to the desert southwest – Arizona. Talk about a range of climates and opportunities!

So…if you’ve been following along as we’ve searched for God’s plan for our next season…please continue praying that His will be done, because next Thursday we head out for an interview and preaching opportunity in what looks to be a promising church.

Wish I could share more… But God reminded me today “I guide you one day at a time. You must not anticipate the Gift by thoughts of the days ahead. Each day’s opportunities are sufficient for the day.”
