“Lord, I’m back and I diligently seek you.”
How many times have we said this? This time stop talking and sit silently. Wait patiently, seek diligently, sit silently. That mean pour our your heart and then deliberately be quiet. Spend a long time in quietness.
Meditation is a lost art in our modern, hurry-up world. Let’s revive it. Not by endlessly repeating some mantra to get into some better frame of mind. No! Not that.
Simply and silently wait before your faithful Abba, Father, God. Read a Psalm…let it speak. Say nothing. just sit silently.
Let Him talk. Let Him reassure you that you are fully and completely forgiven…that He carried it to the cross. Feel His arms around you. Understand the cleansing that His love brings. Feel, on the inside, the freshness and relief of His presence. Practice His presence.
The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul that seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
