Love is not a matter of counting the years, but making the years count.
_Michelle St. Amand
The past couple of days have been devoted to scanning all of our 35mm slides to digital format. It’s something we’ve been threatening to do ever since the technology became available. Quite a job, believe me.
There are hundreds and hundreds of slides, spanning our nearly forty years together. There are slides taken of Dick’s boys from his previous life. There are his father’s slides and my father’s slides. Lots and lots of slides!
Lots and lots of memories! Some great. Some…not so great. Either way it has been an interesting project.
I’m particularly fond of this wedding picture. We were so young. And so.o.o crazy in love.

We have slides of our travels and our projects. We have slides and slides and more slides.
Get ready… you’ll be seeing some of them as they get processed. Hopefully it won’t be more than you can take. Nobody likes being trapped watching a vacation “slide show.”
I’ll be merciful. I promise.

I’ve been working on a similar project with family pictures – I do it in spurts and it takes a long time, but worth it because then we can share the old family photos with everybody.
Love the wedding picture – it is beautiful!
