Practice His Presence

Good Afternoon Dear Hearts  An opportunity I want to share with you — just in case you want to participate in something our Prayer Team will be doing from now until Pentecost.

Acts 1:3 tells us “To them He presented himself alive after His passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking of the Kingdom of God.

For the next forty days we have agreed to

 “PRACTICE HIS PRESENCE.”

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we will seek to recognize the many proofs that Jesus IS alive IN us. In large ways and small ways, we will be making note of His presence. 40 days of being aware of HIS touch in our lives. Could be a scripture that touches the heart, a thought, some action, something that “proves” HIS presence to help us become even more deeply intimate with HIM.

The Psalmist writes,
“Thou dost show me the path of life;
in thy presence there is fulness of joy,
in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.”
_Psalm 16:11 (RSV)

and

“How precious is thy steadfast love, O God!
The children of men take refuge in the shadow of thy wings.
They feast on the abundance of thy house,
and thou givest them drink from the river of thy delights.
For with thee is the fountain of life;
in thy light do we see light. Psalm 36:7-9 (RSV)
