summer fun

It is summer in the San Joaquin Valley, without a doubt.

We’ve had high temps between 105° and 110° for the past two weeks! Okay, I know that’s nothing compared to Palm Springs and Phoenix, where they recorded 120° — but for me it’s been HOT! And…and, we’ve been running the ‘swamp cooler’ in the studio. Now for those of you who don’t live in Arizona, California, or the like; a swamp cooler is NOT a drink you buy during ‘happy hour’ at your local watering hole. A swamp cooler is a faux air conditioning unit that pumps water over spongy padding and cools things down with a fan pulling outside air through the pads. Sound primitive? It is. And humid! It creates a lot of humidity in an area where you would expect a ‘dry’ heat.

If I lived on the east coast, or in the south east I would have curls all the time. In our region, sans humidity, not so much. But with the swamp cooler running…. Well, see for yourself. Can’t do a thing with it.

So…working outside? Nope!

Spending time in the studio? Mornings mostly.

Working on about three different projects at once. This one represents my perspective regarding how to spend those lazy, hazy, crazy dayz of summer.

You know all those things you’ve always wanted to do?

You should go DO them!

The only difference between an

extraordinary life and an ordinary one

is the extraordinary pleasure

that you find in

ordinary things.
