The difference between a BREAKDOWN and a BREAKTHROUGH is–

Effective Prayer

We need to understand that no matter where we’ve been or what we’ve done – God is touched by our honest prayers. He will answer them. And because of Jesus’ obedience at the cross, if we change our minds and our hearts, God sees us, justified (just as though we had never sinned.)

In 2 Chronicles 33, we find the story of King Manasseh and in verse 2 we read, “He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. If you want to know what it was he did to make God angry just pull up the Message Bible on your phone and read verses 1-9.

Wow! I think we can safely say, Manasseh messed up big time! But—

Now that he was in trouble, he went to his knees in prayer asking for help—total repentance [remember the word for repentance means a 180° turn around in your thinking and your believing] before the God of his ancestors. As he prayed, God was touched; God listened and brought him back to Jerusalem as king. That convinced Manasseh that God was in control.

2 Chronicles 33.1-20

Next in 2 Chronicles 34 we read about Josiah, who “did what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Verse 25 says, “because” and verse 27 says “because” –read it yourself. Because what?

Here’s the point: NO matter where you’ve been, or what you’ve done if you open your heart to Jesus, clean out the old junk from your life, go find your Bible, dust it off and read it God will pour out His mercy and grace in answer to your prayers. And He has always done so. He [Jesus] is the same yesterday, today and forever. _Hebrews 13.8
