Back in September, before I started moving and re-writing everything on the Blog, I spent quite a bit of time in my studio. The purpose? Preparing some little pictures for a Silent Auction benefiting a local ministry.
It was the most fun I’ve had in a while. Usually the pictures I do are intended to stay in my art journals. I do them “strictly for my own amazement“, as D says. Those journals are meant to inspire and motivate me, and sometimes the stuff from them makes its way here to inspire and motivate others, too.
In that vein, here are some of the finished auction items and a journal page I particularly like?
In the ensuing months I’ve settled into a rhythm of blogging, leading Bible Studies and searching for “my purpose” in the studio. I think these illustrated Scripture verses solve that question handily. Moving forward into 2020 I think my journaling will, of course, continue but, so will painting and framing stuff like this.
I’d love to hear your thoughts regarding this plan.
