Would you take more?

Some are satisfied with just getting by. They call it contentment but if you offered them more, they would take it.

They would take a happier marriage. They would take better health. They would take successful children. They would take a job that they enjoyed and paid them more. They would love to build an orphanage, or finance a missionary in a faraway land. They aren’t really content, they are resigned.

Did you know that the potential for increase has been designed into your heart and mind? “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things.” (Mt. 12:35) Did you know that the words of your mouth can release or block your blessing? (Prov. 18:20-21) Did you know that the abundant life isn’t just about you being blessed, but is really about you being able to bless others?

“You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way.” (2 Cor. 9:11)

The first step to increase is to get a true understanding of the nature of God. Until you believe that there is more for you, you will continue to live in mental, emotional, spiritual and physical poverty. Lift up your eyes and get a vision of the God of increase!

The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. (Ps. 115:14)

The very nature of God is increase. His expectation from the beginning is to see us walk in “exceeding abundantly more than we can ask or think.” (Eph. 3:20) Experiencing God’s abundance begins with a revelation of God’s nature, and the purpose for your life. Sow the love you have and expect more. Sow the joy you have and bless others. Sow your gifts and talents. Bring forth the good that is in your heart. There is more waiting for you but you have to “see” it inside of you.
