Have you noticed how many times lately we’re told “they” have said, (or mandated) this or that? A few days ago I decided to ask God to show me exactly who “THEY” are.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him.
James 1:5
As usual, I went to God’s Word for the answer to my question. Here’s what the Spirit showed me.
“for they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.”
Revelation 16:14 RSV
I am not, nor do I claim to be, a student of the prophetic. This verse from John’s Revelation, however, seems to fit perfectly into the season we are traveling through. For me, it clears up the reasons behind so many of the unfathomable evils that they are promoting. The next verse I was prompted to meditate on speaks of men who have abandoned true faith and adhere to doctrines of demons!
God’s Spirit specifically tells us that in later days there will be men who abandon the true faith and allow themselves to be spiritually seduced by teachings of the devil, teachings given by men who are lying hypocrites, whose consciences are as dead as seared flesh.
1 Timothy 4:1-2 PHILIPPS

Ever since the scripture cleared up any confusion I was having as to why we are hearing SO MUCH about what “they” say, and so little about what God has said, I’ve looked at the news, social media and day to day conversations in a new light.
I am someone who takes God’s Word literally. If He said it, I believe it. I’ve thought that way from the beginning of my relationship with Him. Only a few months into my new life in Christ I flabbergasted a group of more mature Christians in a Bible Study we were invited to attend by asking, “Why do you think that verse needs interpreting? It says what it says?” In four decades my opinion has not changed. So . . . when the Holy Spirit directs me to verses that so very clearly define the current powers and principalities that “they” represent, I believe what I’ve been told. What THEY are saying is not what I want to be acting on. It is my sincere prayer that you will consider, with Godly wisdom, what you are hearing, then consider your choices based on what God says.

This is powerful – so clear, concise, and wonderful, ellen! Thank you so much!!! Char
