Happy 2022

So… here we are… in the waning moments of another year! 2021 has been . . .? Interesting? Awful? Terrifying? Blessed! I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

I think I mentioned once before, in the last hours of 2019 the Holy Spirit spoke to me: “Expect the unexpected.” We now know, that was a spectacular understatement. In the days and months since 2019 the whole world has undergone a mind-blowing transformation. Or so it would seem.

However, as I sit here contemplating the coming of another new year I realize that the world around us has changed (and that not always for the better), but our day to day has been richly blessed in every way. Looking back over the path God prepared for us the words of the Prophet Jeremiah come to mind.

This is God’s Word on the subject. . . I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out — plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Jeremiah 29:11The Message

Honestly, over the past twenty-four months we have been given such an abundance of grace and peace it is difficult to put everything into words. But, since that’s the whole purpose for “The Cottage”, rest assured I’m going to try. As of this morning the things we share here reach around the globe. And, while I try not to get hung-up on the numbers (because if what God gives me to share reached ONE, I know that will be in His plan), these numbers from the Facebook Page are pretty encouraging:

Speaking of changes, over the last couple of years Facebook has changed everything about publishing a page on their platform. And, unless I miss my guess the dramatic changes in their ‘Meta’ platform will continue changing dramatically in 2022. For now, however, The Cottage will remain; the format will stay pretty much the same, and between 500 and 1500 followers will receive a little bite of grace and peace almost every day. For those who want a little bit more, just click the “Follow” button at the end of this post.

That’s all for this year, Dear Hearts. Blessing on you and your household as we move forward together.
