getting better

So, as you may have noticed, the last post from The Cottage was on January 16th. We attended a Dedication Celebration for a new transitional house with our friends from My Father’s House on the 10th. First time we’d really been in a large group of people for months. A week later we both got hit with what is now being labeled “long haul Covid.” The stuff is no fun at all. I strongly recommend avoiding it if at all possible. But, even after six weeks of nasty symptoms, I’m still not willing to receive “the jab.” No more to say on that subject. Right now, next to politics and religion, it’s a sore topic in most circles.

As you might imagine, a lot can change in six weeks of down time. My plans and goals for the Cottage, both here and on Social Media, have changed big time. More about Jesus. Less about e.

As we turn on our TV, and see the Lord’s words coming to pass worldwide, I think the time has come to focus on this year’s theme even more than in January.

“Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

Mark 13:6-8
New International Version

In my imagination, the birth pains have begun. The water has broken!

As a mother and grandmother I understand all too well what that means. The time for preparation is now.

Having been given nearly two months when all I was able to really do was listen to God’s Word and think about becoming more intimate with Him, today I’m moving into a time of preparation, and I’m planning on sharing what I receive from Him with you.
