Righteousness Is A Gift

For years I was taught one earned God’s blessings through good works. Today I know that is simply NOT true. All His blessings, including the blessings of health, provision and success, are wrapped up in the person of Jesus Christ! When I have Jesus, I have the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace completely through Christ’s unmerited favor. You cannot earn these blessings, work for them or deserve them. They are gifts!

Jesus is my righteousness, my holiness and my redemption. As a child of The King, you are righteous, holy and redeemed (and blessed) not because of your good works, but because you have received the provision of God’s Son.

And because Jesus can never fail or be removed from the throne, He will always be my righteousness, holiness and redemption!

I encourage you to meditate on this powerful truth today. It will lift you out of the realm of doubt and fear and put you in the realm of faith and hope. It will cause you to prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. _3 John 1

Fix this picture firmly in your mind: Jesus, descended from the line of David, raised from the dead. It’s what you’ve heard from me all along. It’s what I’m sitting in jail for right now—but God’s Word isn’t in jail! That’s why I stick it out here—so that everyone God calls will get in on the salvation of Christ in all its glory. This is a sure thing:
