Today has been spent out in the studio, gathering together all of my ‘little critters’ from various boxes and tins where they’ve been hiding since Miss KiKi Kitty moved in with us a couple of years ago. Maybe it was because they were ‘little’ and had eyes…but she thought they were to be hunted down and killed by knocking them from my desk to the floor. She’s out-grown her wild ways and become more of a lady—so my critters are once again safe.

I wasn’t sure exactly where they were gonna live, outside of hiding, then one day last week I read a post on Facebook by a British artist I enjoy following. She put up some photos of her work space that included “an inspiration shelf that houses all my very most favourite things.”

Perfect! All I needed was a handyman to construct a shelf that would fit in my corner.

Violets, birds, mushrooms, bee skep and more.

Art, Hearts and a Susan Branch “prayer for a little house.”

Dried roses, herbs and Mr. L’s baseball cap.

Don’t you love it when a plan comes together?

I love, love, love this work space, and now with my “inspiration shelf” in place and warmer weather…all that’s left is getting busy.
