“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
_John 14:12-14 (NKJV)
The Scripture above is printed in red ink in some of your Bibles to signify that these are the actual words spoken by Jesus. “Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it.” This is a promise. I encourage you not to say, “in His name.” or in Christ’s name,” but to use the Name that is above EVERY name. If we ask for something that lines up with the Kingdom promises, then we can expect God to honor His Word and His promises.
Jesus’ disciples knew the power of His name well. They prayed “in Jesus” name to cast our demons and heal the sick.
“Later the seventy came back full of joy. “Lord,” they said, “even evil spirits obey us when we use your name!”
_ Luke 1-:17 Phillips
Then Peter said, “I don’t have money, but I’ll give you this—by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk!”
_Acts 3:6 The Passion Translation (TPT)
We gain salvation through the name of Jesus only. We are justified through Jesus’ name so that we are clean before Father God.
And that “whoever” means anyone, without distinction between Jew or Greek. For all have the same Lord, whose boundless resources are available to all who turn to him in faith. For: ‘Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’.
_Romans 10:13 J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)
How powerful is the name of Jesus! His name is truly above ALL other names. His Name IS above the strongholds in our lives, and above the bondage of our past. The name of Jesus is literally written on every situation and every cell of our bodies when we turn to God in prayer. God wants to permeate our life until we radiate with His Glory.
“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
_Philippians 2:9-11 (RSV

Father God, I thank You that I can pray in Jesus’ name. I thank you that Your Word says whatever I ask in the name of Jesus I will receive. I pray that I may come into alignment and agreement with this Scripture over my life. I thank You that I am totally healed and set free in my body and my soul.
In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen
