daily devotions

growing

Less than two weeks left in February! How did it get to be Wednesday already? Time flows by so very, very rapidly like water under a bridge. Here we are, eight weeks into the new year moving non-stop toward a new season. Looking back, what a season this one has been. Seems as though the Lord is growing my trust in so many ways: understanding, patience, forgiveness…

You’ve probably heard me say this before. I remind myself often…

Bloom where you’re planted. Do the best you can with the abilities you’ve been given. Be thankful for everything. Learn contentment. Etc. etc. etc.

Did you think I was saying those things to others? Oh no! I repeat those inspirational messages for me. Just me. If someone else identifies with them…hooray! But I’m the one who needs the constant reminders to stay on the path I’ve been directed to follow.

The Lord says, “I will cure them of their unfaithfulness.
I will love them freely.
I will no longer be angry with them.
I will be like dew to the people of Israel.
    They will blossom like flowers.
They will be firmly rooted like cedars from Lebanon.
They will be like growing branches.
They will be beautiful like olive trees.
They will be fragrant like cedars from Lebanon.
They will live again in God’s shadow.
    They will grow like grain.
    They will blossom like grapevines.
They will be as famous as the wines from Lebanon.

Hosea 14:5-7 GW

Today I encourage you, grab your Bible, your journal and your cuppa–find a quiet spot that soothes your soul and grow closer to the One Who LOVES you the most.
