today is important

Come and kneel before this Creator-God;
come and bow before the mighty God, our majestic maker!
For we are the lovers he cares for and he is the God we worship.
So drop everything else and listen to his voice!
For this is what he’s saying:
“Today, when I speak,
don’t even think about turning a deaf ear to me
like they did when they tested me at Meribah and Massah,
the place where they argued with me, their Creator.
Your ancestors challenged me over and over with their complaining,
even though I had convinced them of my power and love.
They still doubted my care for them.

Psalm 95:6-9 The Passion Translation (TPT)

What I do today IS important
because I am exchanging
one day of my life for it.

Our world has gone MAD today! Bad news is everywhere. Right now we are living in a “glass is half empty” society. The Governor of California has predicted that over 50% of us will become ill in this epidemic and the number who will not survive is staggering. But WAIT! That means more than half of us will NOT become infected, and MOST of those who do WILL recover.

That tells me what I think today is important! It tells me what I allow to impact my belief is IMPORTANT. For years I have quoted God’s Word from Deuteronomy 30:

I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God, your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God, your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 The Message (MSG)

Today it IS important for me to choose LIFE and BLESSINGS. And, it IS important that my actions reflect my choices. For that reason I’m adding a list of reminders for TODAY:

I hope you will also take a few moments to search out the GOOD news for today, then make a list of positive possibilities that are important to you.

Grace and peace be with you.
