Twelve months into “the pandemic” everything has changed, and nothing has changed!

This month we celebrated St. Paddy’s Day, the first official day of Spring, Passover and Palm Sunday, plus a couple of birthday’s–mine included.
This month my cell phone and my desktop computer both passed away! It goes without saying both were replaced asap, because my heart is here and has been for more years than I care to count. My hope is to continue sharing God’s mercy and grace via ‘The Cottage’ as long as He allows.
From my childhood you’ve been my teacher,
Psalm 71:17-18 The Passion Translation (TPT)
and I’m still telling everyone of your miracle-wonders!
God, now that I’m old and gray, don’t walk away.
Give me grace to demonstrate to the next generation
all your mighty miracles and your excitement,
to show them your magnificent power!
Mr. L has continued teaching a Bible Study at My Father’s House on Mondays and Wednesdays. Nothing has changed there. All the men remain blessed and are growing in the Lord. The bigger blessing, for us anyway, is to have the privilege of sharing God’s miracle-wonders with them.
During our ‘quiet time” this month we re-read Barry Bennett’s excellent book, He Healed Them All and continued our daily reading of The Book of Mysteries, by best selling author, Jonathan Cahn. Both books blessed us greatly. I hope you’ll consider adding them to your library as well.
One other thing I feel I must share with you was sad and at the same time a motivational moment. We have been convinced for months that all the chaos and fear attached to the Covid-19 pandemic has been allowed [not sent, mind you, but allowed] to bring God’s kids into a place of restoration. I see it as you might see a fork in the road. To the right is a closer walk with The Lord, abundant life, health and grace. To the left, indifference, selfishness and a distancing from the things of God. This month there have been conversations with individuals I dearly love, one who chose the right…drawing nearer to God; and another the left…moving further away from God. And even though they are only a few steps down their chosen path, the consequences are already glaringly obvious. Just let me add here, even though someone may choose to take the left-hand path it does not mean God can’t restore them to His purpose. If you’ll read Genesis Chapter 13 you will find Lot choosing the easy, more worldly path, with dire consequences. And yet, God did not forsake him.
The lesson I learned in March ’21 — if we are missing anything in our walk, it is absolute trust in God’s Word and the supernatural power He provides for those who believe. Now I think I’m beginning to understand what Jesus said. Every human being on the planet is accompanied (or followed KJV) by the signs of what they believe.
“…these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:17-18 Revised Standard Version (RSV)
Paul wrote “without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)
I suppose it’s only fair that I close this month by asking each and every one of us: which path have you chosen? What do YOU believe?
