Some of us carry a sense of our own insignificance along with us where ever we go. Sometimes just thinking about the vastness of it all and of our own smallness can shake our faith in the truth that Father God regards us with compassion. His love is so all encompassing that He numbers the very hairs on our heads.
He counts the stars and calls them all by name.
Psalm 147:4 & Matthew 10:30
… and the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
New Living Translation (NLT)
For me, proof that God is the author of the marvelous book we know as the Bible is the way He continually touches on this very fear that dogs our steps – the fear that we are so insignificant we might be forgotten in His plan. The world, the flesh and the devil all tell us we are nothing. God’s Word meets this fear and answers it – not always with a direct statement, but often by giving us an example.

The beloved Apostle, John, looking through the thin veil of time into eternity, penned this simple, loving story.
He (Jesus) held seven stars in his right hand, and a sharp two-edged sword came from his mouth. And his face was like the sun in all its brilliance.
Revelation 1:16-17
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.
New Living Translation
John tells us of seeing Jesus, whom he loved beyond measure, holding the stars of the Kingdom of God. Falling, at His feet as though dead, John felt the gentle caress of his Lord and Master, His kingly voice saying, “Don’t be afraid!”
I think it is beautiful beyond imagination that The Lord of Glory gave no rebuke for John’s human weakness. Dear Heart, there is never a rebuke for your frailty either. God is Love. You, in your intimate relationship with God’s Son, are the beloved Child of the King.
and he has showered down upon us the richness of his grace—for how well he understands us and knows what is best for us at all times.
Ephesians 1:8 TLB & Psalm 59.10
My God, with his loving kindness, will meet me.
Dear Hearts, there are NO insignificant children in the Kingdom of God. If you have any doubt regarding your citizenship in His Kingdom, all that is needed to seek refuge with Him is call on the name of Jesus.
But what does it say? The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach); because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his lips and so is saved.
Romans 10:8-10
