Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men
Colossians 3;23 AMP
This morning I heard the Spirit ask me, “What are you doing?”
“Well, so far this week I’ve mostly been trying to market the Blog; by encouraging some of the 7,700 people who’ve followed my Facebook page to “follow” here as well. So far, without much success.”
“And when were you told that would be the best use of your time?”
Ouch!
Keep your eyes open for spiritual danger; stand true to the Lord; . . . be strong; and whatever you do, do it with kindness and love.
1 Corinthians 16:13-15 TLB
“Forgive me Lord, for focusing on the number of followers rather than on the task you have given me; what you told me to do years ago. “. . . bring good news, proclaim peace, bring good tidings, proclaim salvation, say to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52.7 NIV
The hours spent doing these graphic ‘ads’ and replying to comments made in Facebook probably came as a spiritual diversion, successfully taking my focus away from this blog/testimony God instructed me to publish.

Right now I can tell you, without question, publishing Contentment Cottage is, and has been for over 25 years, my Spiritual worship.
. . . present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:1-3 RSV
So, I’m done trying to promote the Blog on social media. Instead, by the Grace of God, I’ll renew my focus on publishing peace, sharing good news, and proclaiming salvation.
Thank you Father for the wake up call!

I have, and will continue to do so, encouraged everyone who sees my own small presence on FB to access your blog. I pray that they do so. I love you and CC.
