24 x 36 Textile Collage

Designed and constructed by Richard Lebsock “jingle belle” is costumed in metallic red and silver lame. This little doll is the centerpiece of our most recent fabric collage collaboration.

The 24 inch wide by 36 inch high background is blue jean denim, embellished with a paisley pattern of sparkly puff paint. The red violet overlay of pima-cotton adds dimension and causes our harlequin girl to really pop. Her cap and collar points end in matte silver jingle bells and the entire design is outlined with beaded cord.

Imagining and building a collage from fabric usually takes anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. First comes the idea, then a trip to the fabric store. After that construction begins. “jingle belle” here took just over ten days to complete. We really like her a lot. Let us know what you think, won’t you.
